CFMG Exams

Written exams

Written exams are available to be proctored at no extra cost during your PPI day and must be completed during the PPI day (each exam has a 1-hour time limit as per NCGI guidelines). Please let us know when booking if you would like to schedule an exam. Registration and exam fees must be paid to NCGI before the day of testing. This can be done at www.nationalcatgroomers.com/exams, make sure to enter Anne Thompson in the proctor’s information box.

Practical Exams

Most people need some minimal amount of hands-on training prior to being able to take the practical exams. It is impossible for us to know whether a trainee is ready to take any of the practical exams until after we have spent a minimum of 1 day of PPI. After such, we can provide an assessment of a trainee’s readiness for any of the 5 practical exams.

Practical exams can be attempted during PPI days. Exam fees for practical exams is payable to NCGI after the exam is passed.
